All buildings and structures have been scratch built from photographs, plans and information gleaned from various sites on the internet. The track plan was obtained from OS maps of the period. The main purpose of this station was to serve Camperdown Works, one of many jute mills in Dundee, and by far the largest from local memory.

Movement

Mainly freight/coal to serve the jute mill and onwards to Newtyle and Alyth. Passenger services were few and ran between freight operations which took priority.

Locomotives / Rolling Sstock

Many variations on the route including Black 5s, J37, J39 and the occasional DMU. 08 diesel shunters were known to run on the route and shunt the yard. Camperdown Works had its own locomotives ad an extensive rail system beyond the gates. This would have been too big and complicated so has been represented by a spur to the side of the control panel. Rolling stock was mainly coal and covered vans for Camperdown Works but there was a large goods yard to support the local trades / coal merchants in the Lochee area.

Description Period layout based on Lochee Station as it was in the 1950s and 60s.
